Over the weekend of 14-15 May the Bimbadeen Truck headed north to Queensland
for the Warwick World Cup competition. Our star performer was the Irish Sport
Horse Stallion 'Novalis' owned by John Boyd and Marly Calladine, Shane and
Novalis lead from start to finish in the Pre Novice class. 'Novalis' is really
starting to show his talent, he has a wonderful trainable temperament and this
is becoming evident through his competition results. His first seasons foals are
now on the ground and they are looking to hold the similar qualities to there
father.
Shane also rode 'Gandalf the Grey' into fifth place in the CIC**, this horse has
a big future ahead of him. He really impressed us the way he cruised around the
tough CIC** cross country track at just 5 years of age. Shane's Advanced horse
'All Luck' was entered in the CIC*** World Cup class, Lucky did not have a great
preparation for Warwick early in the week he kicked out and hit a fence at home.
He was sore for a couple of days and it was debatable as to whether he would
even be taken to Warwick. He recovered well enough to make the trip but after a
below par dressage test (probably due to lack of work during the week) Shane
decide to save him for another day and ensure he is fully recovered.
Niki rode 'Ladybrook Remington' in the CIC* they put together a lovely dressage
test to take the lead after this phase, unfortunately steering problems cross
country saw them relinquish the lead.
The team will head to beautiful Coffs Harbour for a CIC competition this weekend
and two weeks later Shane and 'All Luck' and Niki with 'Ladybrook Remington'
will head south for the Melbourne Three Day Event.
