Il Vici sold to the United States The whole team at Bimbadeen Park were very sad to see the lovely Il Vici leave and head to his new home in America. Sadly there are bills to pay and from time to time we have to part with our star performers. Il Vici was a horse that Shane felt would progress to International level. Vici was well on his way with very good results at CIC3* level. He will now continue his career in the US and no doubt we will see him on the International stage in the future. Below are a few pictures of Vici at the airport.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Summer Showjumping Championships (9-11 Dec) Jane Frankum and John Vallance run a wonderful show and SIEC. Shane rode Taurus and was really pleased with him throughout the show and is now confident of how to ride him in the competition arena. On the first day of the show Taurus Jumped in the 1.3m and the Future Stars class, he jumped very well in both classes and missed out on qualifying for the second round of the future stars thanks to a time fault. On the second day Taurus jumped in the 1.25m and had an unlucky rail at the end of the course after jumping super. On the final day of the show Taurus jumped in the very big and technical Mini Prix which was a solid 1.4m track. Shane was first out and Taurus jumped beautifully and just dragged a brick out of the wall for 4 faults. There were on 4 clear rounds out of the 45 starters which indicates how tough the course really was. Taurus will now go out for a well earned spell. Here is footage of Taurus jumping the Mini Prix at SIEC.
Rachel also rode her two again this week and they went well in the 1m and 1.1m classes but finished outside the placing's this week. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Sydney Jump Club End of Year Champs (3-4 December) Following there disappointing showjumping round at Adelaide CCI4* Shane decided to do a bit of jumping with Taurus before putting him out for the spell. Shane changed Taurus into a slightly stronger bit and the results where instantly better. On the first day of the show Taurus jumped a double clear in the 1.3m and then had one down in the 1.35m Grand Prix warm up class. On the second day they jumped very well in the Mini Prix which was a tough track. Rachel also rode her two horses and they jumped well with Final Avenge picking up a 6th place in the competitive 1.05m class. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ |
