NIKI ROSE, my former horses

Double O Seven - James was the horse that took me from Pony Club to Advanced eventing.  A wonderful horse with a super jump.  He was a fantastic all rounder being Advanced (3*) Eventing, Advanced/PSG Dressage and a 'B' Grade showjumper.  Career highlights include winning Goondiwindi CCI2* in 1998 and winning two 'B' Grade showjumping classes at Toowoomba Royal.  James is still a member of our family and enjoying retirement at Mum and Dad's Queensland property.

Lion King -
Probably my once in a lifetime horse.  Stunning looks, amazing movement and phenomenal jump.  Together we won the Lochinvar CCI2* and the Adelaide CCI3* in 2000 and the same year won the NSW State Championships.  We were members of the National Elite Squad from 2000-2002. We were awarded Queensland Horse and Rider of the Year three times.  An amazing athlete that I was fortunate enough to ride.  Now happy, healthy and retired in Queensland.
Striking Heights - Purchased in 2001 as a three star eventer.  A fantastic horse that had a super temperament and was easy to ride.  Very nice movement and a great careful jump, rarely had a rail in competition.  In 2002 we won the Adelaide CCI3* by a margin of over 15 points.  In 2003 we represented Australia as a member of the Trans Tasman Squad that competed in Taupo, New Zealand were we finished 5th individually.  A member of the National Elite squad in 2002 and 2003. Shortly after Taupo Striking Heights was sold to Susanna Bordone from Italy.

Sir Dex - Dex was a star racehorse, winning nearly a million dollars for his connections.  Dex's owners wanted him to have a good home after racing so placed him with Cobie Sheehan who did a wonderful job with his early performance horse training.  Cobie brought Dex to me for some Eventing training and from the start I just loved him and she showed ability as an eventer.

Cobie and I agreed that Dex was really enjoying Eventing so Cobie agreed to sell Dex to me.

Dex progressed to 2* level with Niki and Shane in the saddle and was sadly sold in 2010 for financial reasons.  he now has a great home in WA with Elizabeth Moore.
LADYBROOK REMINGTON - Remi was sent to me as a 7yo and we progressed to 3* level.  Remi also won at Advanced level dressage and won at the National showjumping Championships.  He was a member of the Australian Eventing Talent Search Squad.  Unfortunately Remi developed competition nerves which did not allow him to be reliable in the competition arena.  So in 2011 he returned to his owners in Queensland to enjoy a quieter life.  Remi was a horse I really enjoyed working with, a truly lovely horse.

Umunga - Umi was a horse I campaigned for Lee Hokianga.  Together we won Albury Pre Novice and then moved up to 1* level winning at Canberra and Quirindi and placing 2nd at the Sydney World Cup competition.  Umi was sold in June 2011 to Paul and Dan Biancardi.
WP Midnight Oil - Baz is a lovely young horse that is proving to be very successful in all disciplines.  He has won at Intro eventing and placed at Prelim level.  He has won at official dressage and won the 4 year old Young Event Horse class at Sydney Three Day Event which was judged by Andrew Hoy and Rodger Fitzharding.  Baz has wonderful paces a good jump and amazing quiet and trainable temperament.  Baz was is own owned by Candace Boyton from Newcastle and they won there first start together.
Southern X Earl Grey - A talented but difficult horse that competed at 3* level.  He was however too strong for me and therefore was sold to a bigger stronger rider.
Dane W Brown - A lovely horse that I purchased from the racetrack.  He was a favourite of mine, beautiful looking bay with four white socks and white blaze.  Very good movement and rarely beaten in the dressage combined with a careful jump.  I competed him up to 1* level before being sold to pay for our dressage arena at home.
Yarrawin Jamaica - I talented horse
with super movement and a great jump.  A hot little mare that was difficult to keep calm for the dressage however on the cross country course she was neat, nippy and cleaver, a really fun ride.  Now a member of Rachel Lee's broodmare herd and I have heard she is producing super foals.
Al-Landra - Meg was bred by Mum by Al-Lando she had a huge careful jump and good movement.  She was produced by our working pupil Kate Murphy before being sold as a jumper.  While with us she featured in a series in the Horse Magazine and was cover girl one month.
Taddy - A lovely young horse bred by my Mum by Al-Lando.  Taddy is a great all rounder with a super quiet temperament.  Purchased by Bec Richardson and they are having lots of fun and success together.
Hazelton Park Han Solo - Freddy was a very talented horse that won numerous events.  I rode him up to 1* level before he went back to his owners.  He is now campaigned by Cobie Shehan.
Shellby Park Dominic - I beautiful big horse with big movement and a good jump.  Winner at Pre Novice level before being sold to China.

Ladybrook Valley View - A super talented young horse that no doubt will be a star of the future.  Now owned by Judy Fasher and ridden by Sam Fasher.
Statford Mojave - A lovely horse with good movement and jump.  An outstanding temperament and shows maturity beyond his years.  Now owned and ridden by Sophie Warren from Western Australia.
Noble Instinct - A very attractive horse with super movement and a big bold jump.  I saw him at the track and put dibs on him for when he finished racing.  I rode him up to 1* before selling him on.  He now lives the life of luxury at Wallaby Hill Farm.
Midnight Chapel - A very exciting horse that competed at one star level with success.  Unfortunately this horse died during surgery for colic.  A promising horse that's career was sadly cut short.
Statford Mantovani -  A beautiful gentle stallion.  That won many Prelim events. 'Matt' was stunning with lovely paces and a great jump and the most amazing temperament.  His progeny are now competing with success.
Contador - Smokey is a lovely Thoroughbred that came to Bimbadeen Park following is unsuccessful racing career.  Smokey has lovely movement, fantastic jump and a wonderful temperament.  He had much success in his early eventing career winning several intro and Prelim event and successfully moved up to Pre Novice and placed 2nd at his first attempt at Wallaby Hill.  He was also successful in Young Event Horse classes.  Smokey was sold in 2011 when Niki was pregnant.

Alex - Alex was a lovely home bred gelding by Jaybee Alabaster.  He is a lovely mover and competed in a few dressage and eventing competitions.  He is a very promising horse for the future.  Alex was sold to Kirsten Cowley in 2011 to persure a dressage career.
