ALL LUCK

Stable Name: Lucky

Description: 16.2hh 1994 bay gelding

Breeding: Thoroughbred (by Bao Lack)

Owner: Angela Shacklady and Shane Rose

Competing: Four Star

Lucky was purchased in 2003 during the time Shane's leg was in plaster and he was under strict orders to "take it easy".

So, on Niki's recommendation and with Angela as owner Lucky was purchased from Ebony Tucker from Victoria.

Lucky is strong in all phases and together with Shane they have enjoyed a great deal of success together.  'Lucky' has won many two and three star competitions over the past few years and last year 'Lucky' and Shane travelled to Germany as a member of the Australian Squad for the World Equestrian Games, unfortunately all did not go to plan at WEG so they re-routed and headed to Burghley Four Star in the UK.  Lucky and Shane performed exceptionally well and placed 3rd at this prestigious event.  'Lucky' is now back in Australia and will be campaigned lightly in the lead up to the 2007 Adelaide International CCI**** in November.  The main focus with 'Lucky' is to gain selection for the Beijing Olympic Games next year.

Lucky and Shane are currently listed on the National Eventing Elite Squad. 

CLEDDAU BOBBY DAZZLER

Stable Name: Bobby

Description: 16.2hh 1995 chestnut gelding

Breeding: Warmblood (by Close Encounters out of a TB mare)

Owner/Breeder: Margaret and Ted Ledner

Competing: Three Star

Bobby is by the World Cup showjumping stallion Karinola Close Encounters and out of a thoroughbred mare (Without Fear bloodlines). He was broken in by Margaret's daughter and went on to win the 2000 Young Event Horse Challenge at Sydney Royal Easter Show as a 4 y.o.

Bobby competed in hacking and show jumping around the show circuit being rarely beaten in hack classes. In 2001 he placed 2nd in the Young Event Horse Challenge and 1st in Ridden Warmblood at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

Bobby has been campaigned by Shane since 2002, during which time he has carved an impressive performance record rarely coming home without a win or placing.  

Recently Bobby achieve an amazing five wins in a row, which included the tough Adelaide International CCI** in November 2006.  In 2007 Bobby started the year with a win at two star level at the Sydney CNC.  He opened up his three star performance record with an impressive 3rd at Camden CNC in March.

2007 will see Bobby establish himself at Three Star level, he is aimed for the Sydney CCI*** in September 2007.

It is hoped that Bobby will gain National Squad selection and qualify for the Beijing Olympic Games and therefore making him eligible for selection.

STATFORD NOVALIS

Stable Name: Novalis

Description: 16.2hh 1997 Black Stallion

Breeding: Irish Sport Horse (by Ard Black Cat)

Owner: John Boyd and Marly Calladine

Competing: Three Star

Novalis is a beautiful Black Hanoverian X Irish Sport Horse Stallion by ‘Ard Black Cat’.  His sought after breeding combined with his fantastic temperament and natural ability make him an outstanding performance horse.  He has quickly progressed to three star level with wins and placing's along the way.  He is a gentleman to ride and handle.

In 2006 Novalis and Shane placed 3rd at the NSW State Championships and backed that up with a 5th placing at the prestigious Adelaide International CCI**.

Novalis in now competing at three star level in 2007 Novalis will compete at the Scone CCI*** in May.  Novalis and Shane have been selected to travel to Hong Kong for the Beijing Olympic test event in August 2007.  The test event will act as a dressed rehearsal for the Olympic Games and it is a perfect opportunity to see how Novalis handles International travel and competition.  

Novalis will be Standing at Stud when he returns from Hong Kong.  

It is hoped that Novalis will also gain National Squad selection and qualify for the Beijing Olympic Games and therefore making him eligible for selection.

STATFORD DEMARCO

Stable Name: Marco

Description: 16.2hh 2000 chestnut gelding

Breeding: Warmblood (by Grimaldi out of Distlefink mare)

Owner: Niki and Carol Chapman

Competing: One Star

Marco has just started at One Star level, he has lovely movement and a big scopey jump.  As a youngster he was known to jump out of his paddock to visit the neighbours.  Thankfully he now likes the paddock he lives in and saves his jumping ability for when he is being ridden.

Marco will been campaigned in 2007 with the aim being the Adelaide CCI** in November.  

THIS ARVEY (name to be changed - When we can decide on something suitable)

Stable Name: Arvey

Description: 16.2hh 2002 bay gelding

Breeding: WB X (by Aries)

Owner: Johnnie Walker and Shane Rose

Competing: Pre Novice

In partnership with Dr Johnnie Walker, Arvey was recently purchased from Queensland, he is a lovely type of horse with nice movement and a wonderful scopey jump.  Shane and Arvey started their competition career together with a placing at Camden Prelim followed by a 4th place at the Albury Pre Novice in March 2007.

2007 will see this horse establish himself in all phases and move up to One Star level towards the end of the year

ROSCOE P COALTRAIN

Stable Name: Roscoe

Description: 16.2hh 2000 Brown Gelding

Breeding: TB (by Clang)

Owner: Margaret and Ted Ledner and Shane Rose

Competing: Pre Novice

Margaret and Ted Ledner purchased a share in the lovely horse Gandalf the Grey that was sold overseas in 2006.  So Roscoe was purchased to replace Gandalf the Grey.  Roscoe is developing into a lovely horse, he has stunning movement and a good jump.  Roscoe is naturally a spooky horse so he will be given time at each level to gain confidence.  With confidence this horse will be very competitive in the competition arena.  He recently placed 4th in the Albury Pre Novice.  

APH MORITZ

Stable Name: Moritz

Description: 16.1hh 2002 Brown/bay Gelding

Breeding: Warmblood (by APH Coriolo, out of a Rocadero Mare)

Owner: Margaret and Ted Ledner, Jamie McDonald, Lee Hokianga, Christine Doan and Shane Rose 

Competing: Prelim

Moritz is another recent purchase, he was purchased with the view to syndicating ownership.  Syndication offers all the benefits of horse ownership at a fraction of the cost.

Moritz is a spunky little man with personality plus.  He has stunning movement and naturally good jumping technique.  His first outing was to Sydney Jump Club where he jumped double clear in the metre class and finished in 4th place.  He will have his first eventing start in April and then progress through the grades.  Moritz should be competing One Star by the end of the year.

This horse has the talent and attitude to make it to the highest level.  

CLEDDAU MONOPOLY

Stable Name: Monopoly

Description: 16.2hh 2002 brown mare

Breeding: Australian Warmblood (by Richmeed Medallion)

Owner: Margaret and Ted Ledner

Competing: Prelim

Monopoly was purchased by Margaret Ledner as an unbroken youngster.  Monopoly was broken in at Bimbadeen Park and has commenced Eventing training.  Monopoly has always been extremely quiet.  He has good movement and is brave with his jumping.  

In 2007 he will continue to develop his skills in all phases of eventing competition.    

JUBILEE JADORE

Stable Name: Lolly

Description: 16hh 2000 brown mare

Breeding: TB

Owner: Shane Rose

Competing: Pre Novice

Lolly was purchased by Shane Rose in 2006.  She has lovely natural paces and a careful jump.  Lolly is currently being campaigned by Lee Hokianga at Pre Novice level.  At the end of this season we will put Lolly in foal to hopefully bred future eventing stars.
